This workshop will provide ideas for launching and building your Personal Learning Network (PLN). As you begin teaching in a new way, your PLN can become a crucial resource enabling you to learn, grow, and share ideas with others. A PLN is the network created by an individual learner, specific to the learner’s needs extending relevant learning connections to those around the globe who share interests, passions, and talents. PLNs provide individuals with an unprecedented ability to access and connect with leaders and experts around the world bringing together communities, resources and information impossible to access solely from within school walls.

In this workshop we will explore five popular tools used to build a personal learning network. Face-to-Face, Learning Networks, Blogs, Twitter, and Facebook. Participants will investigate one or two tools that interest them most and then reflect and share what they discovered with the group.
